Financial Empowerment Programs

At Workforce Snohomish, we offer a range of Financial Empowerment initiatives designed to support individuals and families in achieving long-term financial stability and success.

Financial Coaching

We offer free one-on-one financial coaching in English and Spanish for Snohomish County residents. Our AFCPE certified coaches provide personalized support to help you achieve your financial goals and create the life you want. We can assist with building or repairing credit, creating a budget, managing debt, saving money, preparing for homeownership or renting, buying a vehicle, applying for student aid, understanding insurance and taxes, and much more! This service is available to people of all ages and financial knowledge levels.

Workshop Presentation Requests

Our financial coaching team offers customizable workshops on a wide range of financial topics, tailored for your organization’s staff, clients, or the general public. We can present in-person or virtually, covering topics such as aligning values with finances, improving credit, managing debt, setting SMART financial goals, choosing a bank or credit union, preparing for homeownership or buying a vehicle, applying for college financial aid, and more!

Working Families Tax Credit Assistance

Workforce Snohomish assists individuals in completing their Working Families Tax Credit applications, which can provide up to $1,255 in refundable tax credits. We also support organizing on-site application drives to help groups access this benefit.

Asset Building Coalition (ABC)

The Snohomish County Asset Building Coalition (ABC) is a collaborative initiative that brings together non-profit organizations, government agencies, local businesses, and financial institutions to enhance the financial stability and vitality of our community. This program offers quarterly virtual meetings and a monthly newsletter packed with valuable resources, tools, and training opportunities. Through ABC, participants gain access to upcoming events, programs, and free training sessions designed to empower community members and organizations alike.
